| So Xanga has come back to my mind lately and I thought hey? maybe I'll
try starting this up again. Although I can't promise anything exciting.
My life is pretty cut and dry now that I've graduated and started
working, cause basically that's all I do during the week. .
The weekends, however, can be sometimes busy busy busy! With Alex up in
State College during the week we only see each other on the weekends
soooo, we're always running around from here to there, his house to my
house, doing errands, playing with his little nephew, etc. etc. etc.
....and also trying to fit some "quality time" in as well . Here is a pic from Christmas:

Sorry, it's a little fuzzy!
Well, I see that it's getting close to 8 o'clock which means American
Idol is coming on and I've missed it the past two weeks, so I think
it's time to get back up to date on what's going on.
Comment if you would like!

| WOW, has it been forever since I've posted or what?? and out of pure
boredom I'm going to write a post because it's raining outside and I
have nothing better to do Well I guess I
can start where I left off in my last post. Spring Break was AWESOME in
Myrtle Beach. We stayed in two different places and they were both
beautiful Let's see, after that, (it's
kinda hard to remember that long back!) I just basically had a blast
livin' out my last little while at Mont Alto. I've met so many
wonderful people over there and I was sad to have to leave .
I attended the American Occupational Therapy Association conference at
the end of April in Charlotte, N.C. with 4 other girls from my OT
class....definitely a good time.
I'm currently dating a wonderful guy, Alex .
We had been friends since last fall, but after spring break things just
kinda....blossomed, haha. He is in the army and left May 11 for basic
training in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. He graduates from there on
July 21 and then flies out to Arizona until November for more training.
I'll be able to go down for his graduation which I am REALLY excited
about since I haven't seen him in almost 2 months and only have talked
to him twice since he's been gone We keep in touch by writing letters, so it's kinda cool...doing it like they had to back in the "old" days.
I begin my 16 weeks of fieldwork July 17th. I will be doing 8 weeks at
Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg and then my other 8
weeks at Health South in Mechanicsburg. I don't really feel prepared,
but I know I'll learn a lot from this experience. I will then offically
graduate in December and once I pass my boards will be able to start
looking for a "real" job. In the meantime I am working at this little
store in Orbisonia that sells flowers, plants, and fresh produce. It's
not that bad, just makes for long days when it's slow.
Well that's just a bit of an update but it covers about everything.
Just planning on enjoying the rest of my summer and getting over to the
lake on the boat whenever I can. Hope everyone is well. Leave a comment
if you feel so inclined

| So wow, it's been quite a while! I think the
xanga world is slowly diminishing....I very rarely get those email
updates anymore saying someone has updated their posts...but anyways,
for the few lonely stranglers who still read/write posts, here is
something for you to read!
3 days from now at this time I will be in
Myrtle Beach! :) So it's not gonna be the warmest Spring Break, but
hey, it's not Three Springs or Mont Alto Pennsylvania so anything that
will get me away. Now don't get me wrong, I love Pennsylvania and
living in a small town...but sometimes it's just nice to get away.
So you may be wondering what has been going on
in the life of Cheryl lately? or maybe you haven't....but I'm gonna
tell you anyways . Although there's not
much to tell, nothing real exciting going on right at this particular
moment. Two weekends ago I went to Motorama in Harrisburg at the farm
show building with Brad and Kendra to watch Mr. Levi Hicks #2 race
. He did very very well, he's gonna be famous someday...haha! That's
really the only thing exciting thing I've done since my last post.
Other than that...I've just been hanging out here at school with some
of the most wonderful friends in the world. I remember being so mad
that I didn't get down in the Penn Gates.....but God knew that I needed
to live up here in the Hall so I could meet all of the S.W.A.T gang,
it's been such an awesome year! S.W.A.T. is a bible study that I go to
every Thursday night at 8 o'clock. And like I said earlier, I'm
leaving for Myrtle Beach on Sunday and it's with these wonderful people
that I am going with....sooo excited!
Along with my classes I have to do 60 hours of field work in a
pediatric, mental health, and physical disabilities setting......so
that's been keeping me busy. I don't have classes on Monday or
Wednesday though so I use those days to do my observations. At the end
of April I will be going to Charlotte, North Carolina for the
National AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association) Conference
with 3 of my other classmates so that's kind of exciting
Ok so it's getting kind of late and I don't
feel like typing anymore.....so I will say goodnight....goodnight!
