So Xanga has come back to my mind lately and I thought hey? maybe I'll try starting this up again. Although I can't promise anything exciting. My life is pretty cut and dry now that I've graduated and started working, cause basically that's all I do during the week. . The weekends, however, can be sometimes busy busy busy! With Alex up in State College during the week we only see each other on the weekends soooo, we're always running around from here to there, his house to my house, doing errands, playing with his little nephew, etc. etc. etc. ....and also trying to fit some "quality time" in as well . Here is a pic from Christmas:

Sorry, it's a little fuzzy!

Well, I see that it's getting close to 8 o'clock which means American Idol is coming on and I've missed it the past two weeks, so I think it's time to get back up to date on what's going on.

Comment if you would like!

WOW, has it been forever since I've posted or what?? and out of pure boredom I'm going to write a post because it's raining outside and I have nothing better to do Well I guess I can start where I left off in my last post. Spring Break was AWESOME in Myrtle Beach. We stayed in two different places and they were both beautiful Let's see, after that, (it's kinda hard to remember that long back!) I just basically had a blast livin' out my last little while at Mont Alto. I've met so many wonderful people over there and I was sad to have to leave . I attended the American Occupational Therapy Association conference at the end of April in Charlotte, N.C. with 4 other girls from my OT class....definitely a good time.

I'm currently dating a wonderful guy, Alex . We had been friends since last fall, but after spring break things just kinda....blossomed, haha. He is in the army and left May 11 for basic training in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. He graduates from there on July 21 and then flies out to Arizona until November for more training. I'll be able to go down for his graduation which I am REALLY excited about since I haven't seen him in almost 2 months and only have talked to him twice since he's been gone We keep in touch by writing letters, so it's kinda cool...doing it like they had to back in the "old" days.

I begin my 16 weeks of fieldwork July 17th. I will be doing 8 weeks at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg and then my other 8 weeks at Health South in Mechanicsburg. I don't really feel prepared, but I know I'll learn a lot from this experience. I will then offically graduate in December and once I pass my boards will be able to start looking for a "real" job. In the meantime I am working at this little store in Orbisonia that sells flowers, plants, and fresh produce. It's not that bad, just makes for long days when it's slow.

Well that's just a bit of an update but it covers about everything. Just planning on enjoying the rest of my summer and getting over to the lake on the boat whenever I can. Hope everyone is well. Leave a comment if you feel so inclined

So wow, it's been quite a while! I think the xanga world is slowly diminishing....I very rarely get those email updates anymore saying someone has updated their posts...but anyways, for the few lonely stranglers who still read/write posts, here is something for you to read!
3 days from now at this time I will be in Myrtle Beach! :) So it's not gonna be the warmest Spring Break, but hey, it's not Three Springs or Mont Alto Pennsylvania so anything that will get me away. Now don't get me wrong, I love Pennsylvania and living in a small town...but sometimes it's just nice to get away.
So you may be wondering what has been going on in the life of Cheryl lately? or maybe you haven't....but I'm gonna tell you anyways . Although there's not much to tell, nothing real exciting going on right at this particular moment. Two weekends ago I went to Motorama in Harrisburg at the farm show building with Brad and Kendra to watch Mr. Levi Hicks #2  race . He did very very well, he's gonna be famous someday...haha! That's really the only thing exciting thing I've done since my last post. Other than that...I've just been hanging out here at school with some of the most wonderful friends in the world. I remember being so mad that I didn't get down in the Penn Gates.....but God knew that I needed to live up here in the Hall so I could meet all of the S.W.A.T gang, it's been such an awesome year! S.W.A.T. is a bible study that I go to every Thursday night at 8 o'clock.  And like I said earlier, I'm leaving for Myrtle Beach on Sunday and it's with these wonderful people that I am going with....sooo excited! Along with my classes I have to do 60 hours of field work in a pediatric, mental health, and physical disabilities setting......so that's been keeping me busy. I don't have classes on Monday or Wednesday though so I use those days to do my observations. At the end of  April I will be going to Charlotte, North Carolina for the National AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association) Conference with 3 of my other classmates so that's kind of exciting

Ok so it's getting kind of late and I don't feel like typing anymore.....so I will say goodnight....goodnight!

Well I haven't posted in a while, and I'm pretty bored......so this is what I have resorted too! So last weekend I went down to visit my friends from Liberty because I hadn't seen them in like a year and a half. Allie and Ashlee went down with me.....we stayed with Emily, Shanna, and Chelsea...thanks for the hospitality guys! it was wonderful, even without furniture! So here are a few pics....
me && one of the bestest roomates ever!

Matt and me!

me and David......holla back! (haha, had to do that for old times sake)

me && Nina

It was soooo good to see everybody again! Plus, road trips are fun.......even if you get stuck in traffic for 3 hours because a produce truck tipped over!

Wednesday night I went and got 11 1/2 inches cut off of my hair for Locks of Love. I like my long hair better......but it turned out ok, I like my new haircut.....and it will always grow back.

the before....

annnnnd aFtEr!

so other than that.....nothing too exciting going on. I stayed at school this weekend because I had a CPR/First Aid class last night 5:30-9:30 and then today 9-5...thank GOODNESS it's only for one weekend! It wasn't too bad though, the stuff is interesting...I just hope I never have to use it

Alright, that's the update for now......peace

Happy 2006!

New Year's was prettyyy good...here are some highlights...

I went bowling with Levi and Bethany and their family

me & Bethany at the bowling alley
...we are awesome bowlers! I bowled a 152 my first game but then it all went down hill from there

After we got back from bowling I hung out at their house for a little while then it was off to Glen's house...

Tim &Glen having a brotherly love boxing match
...I can't believe the fan didn't get knocked down from the ceiling!

me, jess, & Britt
...the 3 amigos I absolutly love my girls!

>>Jess singing karaoke .....isn't she hotttt???

me & my bRoThEr Brett

Brett with MY jacket on.....what a goofball but I love him
...that was down at my cousins house in Greencastle. We went there New Year's day for a family lunch.

So then Sunday evening after we got home I went up to my Aunt and Uncle's house and talked to them for a while....dang Megan wasn't home.....dang boyfriends . I hope you read this Megan, haha . Yesterday Dad and Brett didn't have to work so we stayed home all day. I helped Dad take down the Christmas tree and the other Christmas decorations. Then I had an eye dr.'s appt. at 4.....I have something called latis degeneration??? in both of my eyes. Apparently it's common in people with severe near sightedness, like myself....he said it's like a rip or a tear at the back of my retina and I just have to be careful because if the tear gets too big my retina could become detached, yikes . So it's not like there's anything I can do to prevent it....I'm just supposed to call him if I start seeing floating spots or cobwebby type things in my eyes

Today I put back out all the normal decorations that go around the house and did a little cleaning along with it. Sometimes I just get in these cleaning moods where I actually like to clean .....but yesterday was kinda crappy and I had a lot of stuff on my mind so cleaning kept me occupied.  Then I was majorly bored last night....so to add to all these other personal profiles I have, I joined MySpace....since that seems to be the popular thing right now. It took me like fOrEvEr to get it all set up, I'm really not that technologically oriented . Anyways that's an update for the past couple of days.......I'm heading back to school Sunday so maybe I'll have more exciting events to write about, probably not though Peace out
